| Bio: | I'm Cassie.
I'm twenty-going-on-thirty-going-on-six. I spend most of my spare time reading about linguistics, and I've sort of got a terrible crush on the brain. I can speak a little bit of a lot of things and a lot of only two--English and French. I also study Turkish both as a language and linguistically, and sometimes spend ridiculous amounts of time doing research. I'd love to talk about it if you're interested, as my advisor is sort of uninvolved.
I love teaching and even get a bit of a rush explaining things I don't find particularly exciting (Phonology, for example) to people. It's an awesome feeling to see things "click" for other people that I can't imagine not doing it when I grow up. Speaking of growing up, I'm trying to not move so fast after years of that being a problem. It doesn't help that most of my friends are graduate students.
I get sort of excited over Futurama and dark, witty movies. I love blueberries.
